Who Are We?

A group of concerned citizens formed a committee in 1971 with the goal of addressing the serious problem of drug abuse in Escambia County.  From this effort, more than 35 years ago, emerged the Community Drug and Alcohol Council. 

Working today in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton Counties, we are a well-trained and experienced group of prevention specialists, case managers, teachers and counselors dedicated to preventing the problems of alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse.

Through our programs, children, parents, and whole families learn new approaches to problem-solving, allowing them to overcome adversity. Our dedicated staff makes positive differences in the lives of hundreds of youth and adults. Our information center, presentations and drug and violence prevention programs reach thousands in Northwest Florida.
