Project Graduation is an all night alcohol and drug-free celebration provided for high school seniors on their graduation night.  These parties offer a safe place for seniors to have a final festivity with friends while discovering a lifelong lesson – they can celebrate and have fun without getting drunk or high.

CDAC provides technical assistance to each school participating in Project Graduation.  Each school needs community and parent participation to make the event a success.

Some of the past Project Graduations have been held at amusement parks such as Big Kahunas, and some have even gone out of state to the Track amusement park.  Other venues have been Oops Alley, Sam’s Fun City, Corry Station, and UWF.

Protecting Their Future

Fifty-one teenagers were killed or injured in alcohol related accidents in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties in 2005, according to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. On big nights such as prom and graduation teens are more likely to celebrate with a night of drinking – and sometimes end the night by driving home.
